Prioritizing Requests!

The other day we had our system programmin class, and ma'am was talking abt jobs waiting in the queue, if they take a long time to be processed, then they r 'timed out', even though they were in the pending queue... isn't our life like this.. it's infact more easier to program the computer to prioritize requests and jobs..but it's VERY DIFFICULT, or put it, very complicated to prioritize requests in life! we just can't figure out wht comes first! And when we do list out the requests in our "LIFE QUEUE"..most of them simply "time-out"... even though they HAD to be accomplished..m talkin abt the incomplete goals in our life... and when we talk abt "life queuE", they just dun't simply die out after being timed out! They linger on... for eternity! u can feel it's "incompleteness"... Everything else seems copacetic.. but there's something 'missing' and these are the "timed-out" requests in our life... The FIFO rule doesn't apply to the Real world!:)
